Holidays In the Sun

Been a crazy week. The boys were on spring break so I had Scotty here at the house while I worked the day job remote and his brother and mother went to Florida.

He helped me do some spring cleaning in the house. We tossed a lot of stuff and cleaned almost everything in the house. I even got to reorganize my shelves in the nerd room…

(Reoganized the Harlan Ellison collection shelves and moved the Neil Gaiman collection to storage… for obvious reasons)

(Organized the model kits and dusted all the shelves and books)

(Dusted and rearranged the toy shelves and dusted ALL the Graphic novels, putting all the magazines in proper storage bags with labels.)

(Organized all the Trek books and comics)

And then I took a break and watched some good ol’ Iron Chef!

I’ve been doing some smaller side projects as well… like dubbing over 8mm tapes and VHS tapes to DVD/Digital that I’ve had laying around over the years and dubbing over things for friends. Also, I found my old “trophy.” It was an award I got at a cinema job I had back in 2000. The place is long gone but I kept it over the years. It broke many years ago and I tried to glue it and it never took. But recently I got a hold of some heavy duty glue for my model kits and so I dug it out and tried it. I’m proud to say my only “trophy” is now fixed and has found a place on my shelf! (hey, Im not gonna win a trophy for any athletics… this is as close as I will ever get to something like that)

I got one more day to work at home and then back to the rat race. It all goes so quick, doesn’t it? But I got some time off coming up this summer. And I am trying to branch out and find cool things to do. I already got tickets to see Live, Collective Soul this summer. I am on the sign up list to see Garbage finally. and I just signed up to see the Sex Pistols! So I am trying to get out of my shell more and actually leave the house. Ya know, LIVE MY LIFE. That whole thing I keep putting off.

Diet-wise I’m still afloat. I haven’t fell off the wagon too hard yet. But its slow going. I’m getting through though. Its all I can do with everything burning up around me in the world. I need some Anarchy in the USA. Ya digging what I’m burying there?

Anyway, I’m off to letter some new comic pages and sling pencils on more digital art to come. So much to do before I put down the pencil for good. Off we go!
