BLOG: Progress in Life, Progress in Art!

Hey friends! So far the diet has been going pretty well. I fell off the wagon a bit this week but not majorly. The weather got bad again all week so I didn’t go out walking and the week I am in the office is always difficult. I can’t plan as well and stuff keeps me busy so that I gotta grab something on the way to work… which is fast food related. But, I’ve made better choices there and I didn’t snack at work, sticking with the fasting. So I’m balanced at the moment. Will go full speed ahead now that the weather is starting to turn good again. Good ol’ Michigan!

I penciled ELEVEN new pages for STARSLAM! Here’s one…

And I am keeping up with my coloring newer pages!

I’m about 120 pages completed with it so far and now getting into the true meat of the story. Its gonna be a HUGE book. HUGE story. The best thing I’ve ever done for the STARSLAM universe. You can read it starting next month only on my Patreon! Linkie: https://www.patreon.com/c/ADAMTALLEY

I also started inks on issue #7 for Pleasant Life and plotted out the next 4… pencils begin on that soon. I just wanted to get a nice padding going for STARSLAM and all that.

Beyond that, I’ve been pretty good. I pulled the trigger on getting some concert tickets…

I’ve always liked COLLECTIVE SOUL and LIVE has some songs I like. Plus OUR LADY PEACE is opening. Its a true 90’s explosion for us middle age fuckers and I am excited to go. I even scored PIT tickets, right up front for a decent price! That happens in July. This old man can still rawkkk.

I started to spring clean here at the Talley ranch. I dug out my bedroom closet and got rid of about 1/2 of my stuff in there. Some went to ebay, some I sold privately. I gotta go through my clothes and retire some articles in there. This week is my kid’s spring break and my son Scotty will be here with me while I work remote for the week. He is gonna help me toss stuff and organize some things. Looking forward to all of that. I went through my video games and my DVDs and cut some things out as well. Just cutting it all down! Pretty soon I’ll be putting original art up for sale and it will likely be one of the last chances to get physical art from my comics for your collection, as I draw completely digitally now. More on that when it happens. I’m also finishing some smaller projects like making DVD cases for my MST3K bootlegs, taping some VHS/8mm to DVD and digital, also dubbing over a friend’s stuff for him (I got a VHS to DVD recorder here in the house).

So things are going well. And now that I got my head out of the muck, I am rolling full speed ahead on things I’ve put off for far too long. Its about time that I woke up. Call me “woke.” Whatever. heh…
